I received a thoughtful email the other day from a reader in Sweden who is very amused by what Americans consider Swedish design. She wrote me that the Gustavian interiors we create in the states bear little, if no, resemblance to actual homes in Sweden. Further, she said that while Americans think Gustavian is Swedish design, it actually represents only a small part of true Swedish
